Elmaethor, god of the stars is here.
Sylvanus, god of the earth is here.
Xanthe, the goddess of vengeance is here.
Cornelius, the all-consuming is here.
Elmaethor, god of the stars lifts his voice to intone, "Anyone wishing to witness the most significant event in the Druid profession's history, please tell to me or make your way to the Stone Cross."
Sylvanus draws Himself and looks about the crowded forest clearing. "The Animist and Druid guild was once a single living guild that beat with the heart of the Forests. That heartbeat over time grew out of sync and from this another guild was born, the Druids. The Animist and Druid guilds both served the natural world to the best of their abilities, sometimes with differences of opinion but always with service to Life as their main goal. Today, the heartbeat of the Forests becomes whole once more as the guilds of the Animists and Druids reunite under a single banner. Let the reunification of the Druid profession begin!".
Elmaethor, god of the stars smiles encouragingly at Sylvanus, god of the earth.
Elmaethor, god of the stars says, "I have been the patron of the Druids for almost twenty years. An unexpected choice to be sure and one that came as just as much a surprise to me at the time. I do however remember vividly the formation of the Druids and have known many Animists in lives other than this one. I'm confident that Maud and Anaalia will come together as one - too long have the two guilds barely held differences between each other and the time - at last - has come for these two halves of the profession to be made whole."
Cornelius, the all-consuming says, "A rift that would be well to bridge for the sake of the woodlands and their future antipathy to the great cities sprawling and amassing power at their consequence."
Druid Anaalia, of the ancient woodlands says, "When Maud first asked me if I wanted the two guilds to merge, I didn't know what to think at the time I have to admit."
Anaalia grins in an amiable manner.
Maud gives Druid Anaalia an encouraging smile.
a slender aspen gives Druid Anaalia an encouraging smile.
Druid Anaalia, of the ancient woodlands says, "After having asked most of the guild members what they thought of this idea, it was eventually evident that most members liked the idea. Hense why we're all here today."
Druid Anaalia, of the ancient woodlands says, "And now, with the help and encouragement of Maud, Lord Sylvanus and Lord Elmaethor, this merge is now official and will commence, thus fourth."
Elmaethor points to an imaginary stage, a smile worn gladly on his features. Turning to Maud, he states simply: "It is yours.".
Maud gulps loudly.
Maud says, "From the dawning of the Animists Guild in 819, cofounded by Fiorella and Aldaron, the god of Life, the profession has been one devoted in service of Life and the desire to seek to aid all who have come to us in need. In times of hardship and uncertainty, I have seen the best of the profession rise above the pettiness and discord to stand, resonating the best that represents our beliefs: Faith, Determination, Hope, in what has become in many ways, a family."
Maud says, "But even every family has its differences and when one feels they no longer have a voice, they must seek out a new path and find their way and thus was it that Silva, and then largely Lamothe, founded the Druids in 1194, creating a schism that divided our profession."
Maud says, "It has long been my hope that someday, these differences might not prove to be insurrmountable and perhaps, we would eventually find a path in the forest that merges once more, which brings us to the events today."
Maud says, "Many attempts over the Druid Guilds' nearly two centuries of growths
Maud says, "It is with great honour and pride that I stand before you, only by the collective works of Anaalia, and her guild patron, Lord Elmaethor, our guild patron, Lord Sylvanus, and every single member of my guild who has desired this union."
Maud says, "The forests are well represented today, with many soulmates, and honourary soulmates present to bestow their blessings upon this union."
Maud says, "Each of you will be called upon in turn."
Elmaethor, god of the stars says, "Maud will call on one of you at a time. You will have the opportunity to say a few short words to go alongside your blessing which she will explain how to give formally. "
Maud says, "We are honoured by one of our younger druids, Ygdra, representing the Chetwood Forest."
Sylvanus, god of the earth smiles encouragingly at Apprentice Sapling Ygdra.
Ygdra's face has just gone a pretty shade of pink.
Sylvanus, god of the earth says, "Speak from your heart, child, and all will be well."
Apprentice Sapling Ygdra of Mercinae says, "I am, of course, saddened by the loss of my home."
Apprentice Sapling Ygdra of Mercinae says, "But I am hopeful."
Apprentice Sapling Ygdra of Mercinae says, "I belive this is an opportunity."
Apprentice Sapling Ygdra of Mercinae says, "And one not to be squandered."
Ygdra's face breaks into an encouraging smile.
<pre class="mud-output">
Ygdra lifts her arms and calls for the Chetwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Ygdra calls forth the Chetwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
</pre>
The trees of the Chetwood forest creak and groan as awareness comes upon them for a time. Birds lift their voices in song even as animals, prey and predator, stop to join in the forest communion. From atop a druid's knoll, Kaelan and Theylia arise, making their forest procession through the Chetwood, accompanied by a golden-haired child and his father, Sallas. Echoing silence resounds for a moment before a great chorus of noise celebrating the reunification of the Druids and Animist guilds.
The Chetwood blessing is complete and Ygdra steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Grey Forest is Groog, one of the voices from our profession's distant past, who has worked towards this reunification and speaks with great wisdom. We are honoured by your presence today."
A tenebrous tree bows respectfully.
a tenebrous tree says, "The Grey Forest approves and blesses this union."
Groog, in the form of a tenebrous tree lifts his arms and calls for the Grey Forest to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Groog calls forth the Grey Forest that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
Rain begins to fall above a distant volcano, channels of water cascading like a steaming waterfall down the full height of Mount Sapience. The waters flow gently through the streets of Coriona, into the eaves of the Grey Forest, dewdrops dripping from the canopy to the forest floor below. Blessed with the minerals and life-giving refreshment of the sacred rains, nature blossoms through the woodland and the autumnal browns flash instantly to lush greens. Bearing witness to the forces of nature uniting to carry out their duties, a gentle soughing from the Grey Forest warms your heart: the woodland has given its blessing.
The Grey Forest blessing is complete and Groog steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Long has Zilveren represented the forest of Bedillam, Zilveren, if you'd desire to speak a few words, we are honoured to have you today."
a slender aspen says, "Long have I watched, hoping and waiting this day would come."
a slender aspen says, "I am happy to be here to represent my home, and glad the guilds are coming back together as one."
Zilveren, in the form of a slender aspen lifts her arms and calls for the Forest of Bedillam to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Zilveren calls forth the Forest of Bedillam that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
The light spreads to the darkened boughs of Bedillam, penetrating the forest floor and awakening its forestal inhabitants. Life begins to return to the forest in numbers unseen for generations, flocking to bear witness and bless the union of the two guilds torn asunder. New growth sprouts under the roof eaves of a decaying mansion, the first signs of new life growing in difficult environs. The blessing of Bedillam is upon the reunification of the Druid and Animist Guilds.
The Forest of Bedillam blessing is complete and Zilveren steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Elbethamore, I was overjoyed by your presence here today and fittingly, as a past Guildmaster, today you represent our beloved Fiorella."
Elder Elbethamore, Fey of the Woodlands says, "It is a great honor to represent the Fiorella Forest today. The forest bears the name of our first guildmistress. The Druid profession has a long and storied history, full of tradition. I am truly glad to see the guilds reuniting to ensure that tradition continues."
Elbethamore lifts his arms and calls for the Fiorella Forest to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Elbethamore calls forth the Fiorella Forest that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
Fiorella Forest sighs in remembrance; a distant but still hopeful memory of the druid profession united in their stewardship of the forests. From its creation, the forest took the name of Fiorella, one of the land's preeminent animists, legendary in her devotion to the God of Life and in her service to her forest home. The very leaves and branches themselves dance with joy for this blessed unification. The rushing river sings with upraised voice to celebrate the union of the Animists and the Druids once more, and in the quiet glade, the shadow of the sundial flickers, in its own demarcation of time.
The Fiorella Forest blessing is complete and Elbethamore steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the G'harran, Mailen, please step forward."
an ancient tree says, "It is an honour to be here among you all today. And I welcome this unification. I know together, we will accomplish many things and overcome many burdens."
Mailen, in the form of an ancient tree lifts her arms and calls for the Forest of G'harran to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Mailen calls forth the Forest of G'harran that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
The boughs of the Forest of G'harran are lifted across its many locations, the trees young and old joining together to voice an eternal blessing. Winds from all four corners of the continent play a wonderfully melodious benediction through the eaves of the Forest of G'harran. The birds and the beasts of the Forest of G'harran lend their own unique languages to support the union of the Animists and the Druids. It is thus underscored for all time, nature willingly blessing the reunion of their beloved guardians as the Forest of G'harran falls respectfully silence once again.
The Forest of G'harran blessing is complete and Mailen steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Northwood is young Vannish, Vannish if you'd step forward please."
Vannish gulps loudly, and blinks.
Animist Vannish Purveyor Of Fine Hardwoods says, "First of all, I'm honoured to represent my beloved Northwood, who gives its blessing to this union."
Animist Vannish Purveyor Of Fine Hardwoods exclaims, "May this bring strength, life and peace to the forests and to the whole land and allow us to become a bigger and even more united family!"
Vannish lifts his arms and calls for the Northwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Vannish calls forth the Northwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
You shiver as the winds of the north blow from the mountain tops of Gant; the frost billowing in strange shapes and patterns in the direction of the Northwood. A low moan flows out from the mighty Northwood trees, echoing like an avalanche as the entire woodland speaks. The bellowing roar of a lion splits through the air, and the northern wolves begin to howl as nature's voice resounds throughout the forest. At last the howls, the roar and rasp combine into something resembling a cheer; a choral cry of celebration, for the Northwood has blessed this union.
The Northwood blessing is complete and Vannish steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Angelwood, dear Katie, if you'll graciously step forward."
An elegant sweetshade tree steps forward, "I'm proud to represent the Angelwood as its soulmate today, but I am even more pleased to be surrounded by this wonderful delegation of druids, both elder and sapling, familiar and long sleeping. The strength of the profession lies in the unity of the members, not the titles or the ceremonies, and it is my most sincere wish that this moment of reunification and the bonds represented and reinforced today are not soon forgotten. Welcome home, animists and druids."
Katie, in the form of an elegant sweetshade tree lifts her arms and calls for the Angelwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Katie calls forth the Angelwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
A wind begins to rise in the northeast; a gentle zephyr which seems to make the very trees whistle as if in song. The whistling emanates from the Angelwood - that sun-blessed woodland, on the banks of the river Ogg, where Ophelia, goddess of love lived out her retirement after Elatar broke her heart. The song grows louder, now, and you realise it is not one of sorrow but of great joy. In perfect unison, the trees begin to sway, oscillating to the beat of some underlying rhythm as if in celebration. With a final, tremulous note of blessing, the song falls silent; a satisfied rustling the last thing you hear before all is still once more and you know in your heart that the Angelwood has blessed this union.
The Angelwood blessing is complete and Katie steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Whispering Wood, Mnemugg, one of our younger members."
Mnemugg bows respectfully.
Druid Mnemugg says, "Thank you. It's lovely to represent the Whispering Wood, a forest I have felt a unique kinship with, on this special occasion. I hope this union only knits the forests closer together as two halves become whole again, tradition fertilized by new ideals. Druids, welcome home."
Mnemugg lifts his arms and calls for the Whispering Wood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Mnemugg calls forth the Whispering Wood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
There is a sliver of sound echoing through the distant north, like a thousand whispers from a single, murmuring mouth. Trees of every variety and age begin to sway in conjunction as leaf, branch and bough twist and rub together. The whispers become a gentle humming. The murmuring sound increases in volume, soon becoming a cacophony of woodland noises that unite into one, rumbling voice whose words boom throughout the land as it speaks. "The Whispering Wood blesses this union of the Animists and Druids. May Life and Nature be as one again!"
The Whispering Wood blessing is complete and Mnemugg steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Cloverleaf, our esteemed former Guildmistress, Honeybear."
Nature Nomad Honeybear, Knightswood Cedar says, "I am proud to represent the Cloverleaf forest here today. Long have I awaited this. I can say that I have seen what the division of our guilds can do. But I am happier to say that I can't wait to see what our guilds united can do."
Honeybear lifts her arms and calls for the Cloverleaf Forest to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Honeybear calls forth the Cloverleaf Forest that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
The radiant sun brightens as its rays cast a golden light upon the Azrilite vale. Beneath the throne of the Sun, the trees of the Cloverleaf seem to mature and grow stronger; bathing in the warmth and vitality of the life-giving light. Takihiti is here upon a fragrant knoll, gathering fresh woodland blossoms to adorn the Stone Cross for the festivities. Her face wears a poignant smile. Wykoshia, high priest of the Azrilites walks serenely through the woods of the Cloverleaf. The entire woodland seems to bow at his presence and as he brings both palms together, you feel a profound sense of union and fellowship wash over you.
The Cloverleaf Forest blessing is complete and Honeybear steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Abbotswood, is Taliesin, recently awoken for the festivities. We are honoured by your presence today."
Uncle Taliesin, the Traveler says, "I am Taliesin and I was born five hundred and five years ago into these lands. For me the best year in this land starts today, because the protectors of life and nature come back together."
Uncle Taliesin, the Traveler says, "As a former guildmaster of Animists I am proud to see the family brought back together. "
Taliesin lifts his arms and calls for the Abbotswood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Taliesin calls forth the Abbotswood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
In the rare tranquility of the Abbotswood, all is at rest; a pair of lovers greet one another by a bridge across the stream, a group of children play in the sunlit glade, and in the monastery of Kenkria, a scribe works at his task as the twisted monks sing their solemn chant. The chant is low, and sorrowful, unrecognizable as the once magnificent song of Life that first gave fruit to the Abbotswood. A soft soughing can be heard from the trees; gentle at first but gaining volume as the entire span of the woodland rasps and thrums. The chanting of the monks is drowned out, for there shall be no violence or sorrow in the Abbotswood on this day. The woodland breathes its final note of blessing, and all fall silent once more.
The Abbotswood blessing is complete and Taliesin steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "Representing the Oakwood now comes Winterfire."
Moonlit Winterfire, Eternal Lunatic says, "I am honored to be here today, with such a large gathering of Druids."
Moonlit Winterfire, Eternal Lunatic says, "This union has been a long time coming, and I am overjoyed to be apart of the ceremony. With that, the Oakwood would gladly give its blessing."
Winterfire lifts his arms and calls for the Oakwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Winterfire calls forth the Oakwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
All manner of forest critters gather under a tall, powerful oak; the wildlife of the forest coming together to reforge a once broken connection. A western wind blows and the oak sways slightly, creaking as it endures the force of the air as it has done for over a century. The wind passes, the great oak standing tall and proud once more as shelter for the gathering of woodland creatures. The Oakwood Forest is suddenly enlivened by the sounds of birds and beasts, the great oak dipping its boughs in a final nod of blessing before returning to its protective stillness, its sheltering creatures frolicking together in union.
The Oakwood blessing is complete and Winterfire steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud says, "As guild patron of the Druids, Lord Elmaethor is here to represent the Dead Marshes, a unique choice for a deity of the heavens."
Elmaethor, god of the stars says, "The Dead Marsh Mangroves are an ever living symbol that even in the most desolate of environments, growth can emerge if sufficient care is given unto it. Maud's sceptical brand of humour aside, I am pleased to issue my blessing on behalf of the marshlands. "
Elmaethor, god of the stars lifts his arms and calls for the Dead Marsh Mangroves to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Elmaethor calls forth the Dead Marsh Mangroves that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
The boughs of the Dead Marsh Mangroves are lifted across its many locations, the trees young and old joining together to voice an eternal blessing.Winds from all four corners of the continent play a wonderfully melodious benediction through the eaves of the Dead Marsh Mangroves. The birds and the beasts of the Dead Marsh Mangroves lend their own unique languages to support the union of the Animists and the Druids. It is thus underscored for all time, nature willingly blessing the reunion of their beloved guardians as the Dead Marsh Mangroves falls respectfully silence once again.
The Dead Marsh Mangroves blessing is complete and Elmaethor steps back, duty fulfilled.
Elmaethor, god of the stars nods at Maud.
Druid Anaalia gives Elmaethor, god of the stars an encouraging smile.
Maud says, "Representing the Clanwood, the Animist Guild patron, Lord Sylvanus."
Sylvanus strokes His beard, eyes twinkling enigmatically as He watches the gathered assemblage. "The Clanwood is one of the younger woodlands, fledgling in age but with roots that reach deep into the Earth. It is My pleasure to represent the Clanwood for this reunion of the Druid profession." .
Sylvanus, god of the earth lifts his arms and calls for the Clanwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Sylvanus calls forth the Clanwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
The boughs of the Clanwood are lifted across its many locations, the trees young and old joining together to voice an eternal blessing. Winds from all four corners of the continent play a wonderfully melodious benediction through the eaves of the Clanwood. The birds and the beasts of the Clanwood lend their own unique languages to support the union of the Animists and the Druids. It is thus underscored for all time, nature willingly blessing the reunion of their beloved guardians as the Clanwood falls respectfully silence once again.
The Clanwood blessing is complete and Sylvanus steps back, duty fulfilled.
Elmaethor, god of the stars shakes Sylvanus, god of the earth by the hand.
Druid Anaalia gives Sylvanus, god of the earth an encouraging smile.
Maud says, "Now we may hear from Anaalia, last Guildmistress of the Druids and soon to be Deputy Guildmistress of the Animists."
Maud says, "Anaalia represents the Northern Greenwood."
Druid Anaalia, of the ancient woodlands says, "I am pleased to be here, to witness the most significant event in the history of the profession. I shall thus, call the home of the Animists, to bless this reunion on this day."
Anaalia lifts her arms and calls for the Northern Greenwood to make its blessing known unto the realm.
The voice of Anaalia calls forth the Northern Greenwood that it might give its blessing to the Union of the Animists and Druids Guild.
There is stillness in the North Greenwood as the animals, birds and even the trees have long awaited this moment. Villagers from Snowfoot, Ladakh and Greeny's Edge speak in reverent whispers and nods of assent. Few still live who remember the severance of the forest folks, but the tale was one passed down from one generation to another. Between the villages, the trees part, creating a path for the eager traveler, beckoning them to seek the delights of the Azrilite vale, perpetually illuminated by the sun. In the heart of the North Greenwood, emerging from the forest overgrowth, come Aloides the Druid and Kayen the Animist, surrounded by butterflies, present to witness the union of the druid guilds. Stepping down from his forest throne, Cormellon the Elder arrives, surrounded by a small entourage of Eose in tribal paints, bearing their blessings for the reunification.
The Northern Greenwood blessing is complete and Anaalia steps back, duty fulfilled.
Sylvanus, god of the earth says, "For our final blessing, we will have Maud, the guildmistress of the Animists speak a few words. Maud has been tirelessly working toward this goal for many years and with the assistance of Anaalia has finally made it come to pass. I want you to know Maud I am very proud of all your hard work and the work of all of the others that have made this day possible. You should all feel proud of yourselves. Maud, please proceed."
Maud says, "I know I jested a moment ago in my introduction to Lord Elmaethor, jesting aside, it's not an easy thing He's doing, giving up a guild patronage."
Maud says, "I just wanted to thank Him personally for that great sacrifice to make this union possible."
Elmaethor, god of the stars says, "Maud, it is fitting that Anaalia and you should represent the two sides of the Greenwood - your blessings bringing the twain together even as you yourself unite as sisters under the same mantle of your altruistic ways. "
Elmaethor, god of the stars says, "Onward."
Maud says, "Frankly, I cannot recall how long I've been an animist anymore, long enough to desire its wellbeing above the needs of city or personal patronage. I am blessed beyond measure by the presence of so many today."
Maud says, "My enduring hope is that with this unity of the profession that we may once again be a stronger presence in the forest, enriched by the experiences of the journey the Druids have been on and by our own, and together, may Avalon see greater days ahead."
Maud says, "And of course, my personal thanks to Lord Sylvanus again."
Maud is the soulmate of the Greenwood, largest and most revered of Avalon's Great Forests. Maud lifts her arms and bids the very Forest in which you stand to give its blessing to this great union.
Within the vastness of the Greenwood forest, the leaves tremble and quake, the trees rasp and rustle, the woodland seems to take a deep breath. The great forest canopy above the Greenwood begins to retract; symbolically parting its verdant and heavy-laden boughs to the expanse of sunlight. Wildlife gather and birds chirp in eager anticipation as a shaft of sunlight illuminates the centre of the forest where the Stone Cross sits. Villagers from nearby Eleusis gather at the clearing. The woodland canopy retracted, the magnificent trees of the Greenwood stand tall for but a single moment before inclining their eaves as one; a silent bow and blessing to all of sylvan empathy.
The Greenwood blessing is complete and Maud steps back, duty fulfilled.
Maud asks, "Is there anyone I have not called upon who wishes to speak at this time?"
Sapling Kennis, Protector Of Animals says, "I'd like to speak if I may."
Sapling Kennis, Protector Of Animals says, "I am new to the ways of the animists and druids, but I never understood the separation. It is my hope that from this day forward, the druids and animists will act as one, to nurture the plants, protect the animals, and bring prosperity to the forests in ways unmatched in Avalonian history."
Sapling Kennis, Protector Of Animals says, "Thank you all for the opportunity to let me speak on this momentous occaison."
Maud says, "If there are no other comments or objections or the like, we have a special treat."
Maud says, "Everyone present is invited to ETCH <message> on the stone cross and leave a symbolic wish on this momentous occasion."
Maud says, "Anaalia and I will go last."

Elmaethor, god of the stars exclaims, "It is done, then !"
