The Warlocks Guild was founded as the first Thakrian mage guild. Its outlook is independent and free, aligned typically with the city and geared towards combatting its many foes.
The Mage is the purest of magic users. He learns the traditional realms of magic and magical rituals, in addition to a healthy mix of musical, spiritual and herbalist abilities. Mages vary greatly in character from the dominant to the passive. All thirst for knowledge and to expand their abilities, and the greatest among them are unequalled by any of the other magical guilds in the field of battle. Becoming a skilled Mage, though, takes time and effort - more so than many of the other guilds. Rewards for this diligence are great and numerous.
The Warlocks Guild was set up most recently of the three Mage guilds in the city of Thakria. Although it claims to be mostly neutral, it is loyal to the city of Miracles and has largely swung towards evil with that city's patron and barons. It was founded by the lady Kirynia and has Kirstiana as its guildmistress. Since then Lord Eshkadeth of Mercinae defected to the side of the Warlocks from Mercinae, bolstering the strength of the guild.
Finally, and most recently, the guild's fortunes were further boosted by the arrival of Lord Tragnarion, once Prince of Mercinae. He too chose to forsake the side of good in favour of the charm of Thakria might. Loric, the present guildmaster, is one of the few members of the mage profession to have attained any real competence at defence - particularly against multiple opponents.
The Warlocks are first for themselves, fighting and defeating those who show weakness or stand against the guild. Then the Warlocks are for Thakria, to defend it against invaders and support its conquest of others.
Ancient and dark, the guild of the Warlocks is not for the faint of heart. Seek you to be pampered or fawned upon, another choice might serve you well. But if you seek to drive your enemies screaming into the Abyss, the brotherhood of Black Robes
Warlocks forge their own path, coming together occasionally to wield the might of the Avalon ritual, and are feared throughout the land as bringers of Death and wielders of the Dark Arts.

Start from the southern end of the lakeside promenade. Head north down Emerald Avenue and then east across the Emerald Bridge into Thakria's east bank. A little further east from the bridge is the Square of the First Emperor. From there head north a short way and then east into a herb shop. The Warlocks Guild is therein.
