Syntax: WORK <direction> [<type>].
This command is available only to those with "right of entry" to the door based on its location plus active city locksmith service, or it can be used in all circumstances by those with the professional abilities of keyworking and keymaking. In the latter case the lock mechanism intended for the key must be held in open inventory.
Right of entry for city doors is held by the Prince/Princess, the Cardinal, the Minister of State and deputy, the Prime Minister and deputy and the Justice Minister only. See HELP ENTRY for info on the right of entry privilege.
Making a new permanent key requires commodities. The default is a single piece of tin and the "tin key" is most basic of worked keys. It is considered a little down at heel to use tin keys for important locks, however, and most keys are worked using extra commodities to produce a finished article with more style and individuality.
Here is a list of the key types you can include in the WORK <direction> command and the commodities required for their completion. Example would be WORK NORTH GOLD to make a golden key for the door/gate northwards, using a single gold commodity as additional material.
