Why not have the cities provide the prize? Mariah does actually have a point, the gods put in the system so you could make use of it, however inventively or imaginatively you choose.

Occasionally a god may decide to run some sort of challenge/duel/competition for his amusement but it's not for us to go appealing to the gods to provide some sort of prize/goal to fulfil our amusements for us.

Sort yourself out, if you organise it well enough, you'll soon find the prizes/competitors come rolling in.
