Kodiak is a citizen of Thakria.

He is an Elder of the Loremasters Guild.

Kodiak is a lifelong loremaster and Thakrian, as well as a priest of Genesis, the god of time. He is a steadfast fighter and a constant thorn in the side of the good folk. His knowledge of Avalon's land is second to none and for this he won the opal of compassion, allowing him to contend for ordination. After brilliant performances defeating Plaman and Orinoko, the latter widely expected to beat him, he lost a heartbreaking ordination against Xandamere in the last moments. Many Avalon years later Kodiak contended again for divine status, having won a rare three gemquests in the run-up to the ordination. This time he faced Fistandantilus the Magelord and, on this occasion, despite a hard-fought contest with unpredecented pitch-battles during the denouement, Kodiak prevailed. His lifelong dream was achieved and Loki, the god of fire, was born...
