In your SCORE you'll see two lines, one starting with the current Avalon year, the next showing numbers for "Reputation:" gain vs burden.
The Avalon year numbers show the total reputation gained by dint of all your activity since the most recent Avalon new year (1st Midwinter). It's an accumulating figure and it is parsed at the end of each year into a contribution to the city's divine globe and the total reputation of your current guild. The higher your reputation activity, the more power you contribute to the city's divine globe and the more influence your guild will exert by dint of its growing reputation. Alongside reputation gains for the year is globe-witnessed activity. This is simply the portion of reputation activity captured while GLOBE WITNESS was active on your behalf.
Reputation gain vs burden is a little more nuanced. There are two key figures: your contribution or cost to the city (divine globe) and your contribution or cost to the guild (reputation). HELP GLOBES and HELP GLOBEIDEALS have a more detailed rundown on the types of actions known to contribute significantly to city divine globe and/or reputation. In most cases, these gain vs burden numbers will be positive as activity generally outweighs drains on power. The most detrimental events to globe power (i..e. increasing burden, taking away globe power) are use of globe powers - see HELP GLOBEACTIONS - and empowering of globestaves, sponsorships, death, civic services, loss of territory, upkeep of legions and legion morale, loss of citizens and/or native guild-members to foreign cities and/or foreign guilds.
