well said Calagan, I have to agree wholeheartedly with you. the Gods are not here to serve mortals, or become equals, wich seems more and more people are asking for. The Gods were either here before avalon existed with any players, or they attained th
e immortal rank through a long and accomplished life as mortals in this realm.
The Help section about the gods is very plain and hides nothing from us. The Gods exist despite us, their goals and whims and help and anger are beyond our means of understanding and certainly beyond our means of control.
Personally I have alot of interaction with several gods, My patron is active and helps me constantly. I also have seen the other side. Our guild just changed patrons do to a return of one diety and the inactivity of another. But in all ways I believe
its best to speak to the Gods with respect. even if you disagree with them.
They are the Gods, not to be considered the programers, or the customer service dept. They do not have to drop what they are doing to pick up stuck comms from floors, or arbitrate or what ever, you may certainly ask, but to be upset if told no , or ev
en ignored is rather pointless.
The beauty of this world to me is the realism that is present here, if you are weak you die, does not matter what your morals are or wether you fight in the dark, the light or somewhere inbetween. The fact that there are Gods watching , either taking
action or chuckling or simply watching adds to that. I believe as a mortal if I work hard enough things can be changed, or that I can overcome most obstacles given time. This would not be the case if I knew that 8 diff Gods were going to be actively m
anipulating what goes on in the Mortal realm. How do you overcome an obstacle that a God is standing actively in the middle of?
Anyways I feel that there is alot of activity by the Gods in the realm, and think that sometimes we need to find away to resolve things ourselves, use the website or bugfile for probs. The places most Gods are active are as personal patrons, in treati
es between cities and perhaps guilds, and running their orders. Other than that who knows. perhaps their silence on the issue you are concerned with speaks volumes all by itself, just listen to your answer.
