30.2 Current info on the divine emerald.
The Divine Emerald Quest
The quest is to seek out the tiny golden eggs of Aldaron, the god of life. It begins at 4pm by the Avalon clock Saturday and ends at 4pm Sunday.
The rules are quite simple: You must collect as many eggs as you can, and the person who presents the most eggs at the end of the quest will be the winner. Eggs will fall to the ground throughout the period, even if there are no Gods visible.
There will also be various mini-events and quizzes running through the duration, for which additional eggs may be made available. Further details will be announced nearer the time.
You may of course collect eggs and give them to someone else, to boost their total. If you can't be present at the end of the quest, you may hand in your eggs early, or donate them to someone else. However whoever physically hands Aldaron the eggs will be deemed to be the competitor. You may only hand in eggs once, even if you later collect more.
The person who hands in more than half the eggs at the end of the quest in one go will earn the Emerald of Life. If no single person hands in more than half the eggs, the decision will fall to Aldaron as to whom, if anyone, the emerald will be given.
This is the quest of Life, slaughter is strictly forbidden for the duration.
Currently scheduled mini-events
All times are by the Avalon clock. Additional events will appear here during the next week as they are scheduled.
Saturday 5pm - A free-for-all of specially crafted throwing eggs. No entry fee.
Saturday 7pm - A quiz on the subject of Avalon flora and fauna. Entry fee: 250 gold pieces.
Sunday 1pm - An egg and spoon race. No entry fee. Bring your own spoon. See HELP EGGSPOON.
