advisory: JAVA and FLASH
The Avalon Java client was designed in the mid-late 1992 and should prove compatible with most operating systems and setups. The Java client does NOT use any permanent space on your computer nor will you be vulnerable to accidental receipt of any virus or spyware from Avalon. We have taken great pains to keep our site and software free of such intrusions and continue to do so.
NOTE: both the Avalon Flash Client "Lumiere" and the Avalon Java Client "Javalon" include alias and macro support. Operating manual and in-game help interface are available once character creation is complete.
for the record: Old Java Client
Click on OLD JAVA HERE for access to Avalon's first phase JAVA downloadable client from the late 1990s. It is presented for use by those with specific requirements and we advise against using the Old Java Direct unless you are computer-knowledgeable and have good reason to do so. WARNING: not for novices; compatibility issues with latest versions/browsers on OSX and Windows.
If you need any further advice on clients or have problems connecting to Avalon or using any of our recommended clients, e-mail email@example.com and we will try our best to help.
