I must agree with Lugonn to a certain extent, Animists seem to have only Merging as an original skill, and they suffer from the one great disadvantage - Total pacifism (Not that I mind being a pacifist, but that it must be acknowledged that it greatly slows experience gain). I'm sure that if we take such a pledge to be non-violent, that equal gains must be made in other areas to redress the balance, as far as I can see at the moment, the only thing we have that others don't is Merging. We are just as suceptible to points loss on death as anyone else, and our greatest skills, Healing, Spiritualism and Merging, even if others don't have them, other people have the equivalents - Charming allows Total protection, rapid healing and teleportation which is NOT restricted to forests, Spiritualism, even if Sorcerors and others didn't have it, has its counterpart - Evocation, which is just as, if not more powerful.
Without wanting to rant on for hours with examples, I'm sure Animists are - at present - getting the raw end of the deal.
