I never really understood why herbs is learnable by other guilds, but by the very fact they are means it has become a quasi generic skill thatall and sunder in the land may acquiring. I have had the herbs skill stolen from me in the past though be it my own fault, but why am I in a position to have them stolen! I think the problem is that they are teachable as oppose to how or why any particular individual acquires them.
Its a sad fact that some druids are not in our guild and therefore do not necessarily subscribed to our outlook. Personally I am very muchagainst anyone acquiring herbs who doesnt have it as part of their skills already, but it is inevitable if it remains teachable. I do find it odd that a druid would consort with Sorcerers given the destruction they reap upon the forests and the routine hunting of fellow druids, but I know myself that membership of a city does not only have a positive aspect. When I was younger I went on a raid of Thakrian fields and was quite rightly disfavoured by Maud.
I feel that by the Gods allowing others to have our skills we have been diminished somewhat and that it is with the Gods that we must petition for recompense. Maybe that what has been taken from us and diluted should be replaced by something new.
Love and compassion...
