There has been a great deal of talk recently about imbalances, imperfections, unfairness in the gamesystem, issues that aren't addressed, concerns that are not answered and so on. Underlining these is the implication that the Gods do not care. That the Gods are doing nothing about it. That the Gods are not providing a solution. This has stemmed primarily from a group of people who recently by dint of one of these \"The Gods don't care, I am right, they are wrong\" situations decided to choose duellism in an act of mass protest.
This so called \"protest\" has come from a group of people - namely Quinn, Sajora, Lukien, Ithikul, Moradin and Jimrey - who between them have taken more of my time, received more of my advice and had more of my attention than every other member of the Avalon population combined. A group of people who I have gone out of my way time and time again to assist even when that advice will almost certainly result in a negative impact on what people like to call \"my side\" or \"my city\".
Most of you have been involved in sessions recently. UPDATES and PUPDATES speak for themselves. I doubt whether there is anyone among you who will argue that when you ask me for help, you get help, you get your answer, you get your issue looked at or your imbalance reviewed.
Frankly I am beyond disgusted, beyond appalled that in light of so much time and effort given over to the development and performance of these individuals that their response is a complete disregard for my time, a complete ignorance and denial of the efforts made and a completely selfish and childlike attitude exhibited when confronted with something they don't know how to overcome.
In one specific case with one of these players I personally explained the same issue over sixteen times with a patience my fellow Gods could barely believe. The result? A day later the advice is forgotten and the complaint resurfaces. In its own way it is unbelievable that this group of people are the role models of their various organisations: barons, a Prince, true fighters, a wannabe paradigm, would-be contenders. It doesn't surprise me that the rest of your cities without this craven 'opt out' mentality have begun to question whether that is an example they want to follow.
It certainly IS an example of an attitude and approach to Avalon that deserves nothing but contempt.
