Proteus has made his declaration against any military action to loot
Knightswood as patron of Mercinae and Knightswood and this is his
prerogative.
Knightswood's status is not entirely resolved, however, since with
Tukar's failure and the subsequent neglect - its animals were only kept
alive by a mix of divine resurrection and Alarius' hard work with the
remaining livestock - the long-term \"protected by a city patron\"
conditions are not set in stone.
Proteus has spoken and this is a powerful statement backed up by a
clear precedent. Knightswood has fortifications. It has been lately
involved in war-politics. Its position remains as Proteus has outlined
unless challenged and should a challenge be made the whole matter will
have to be considered in light of Proteus' statement, his past
declaration, Tukar's self-immolation, Kahn's new custodianship, the
military situation between Mercinae and Parrius, conflict of interests
and the respective will of the people of Mercinae and Parrius, and
the rest of the pantheon's position on divine estates.
For the time being and if unchallenged for the time to come, Knightswood
is as was with Kahn replacing Tukar as the representative of Proteus,
patron of Mercinae and Knightswood.
