Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to Lord Proteus and Lady Ashvani for organising a really enjoyable evening of questing - having never done a Flag or Torch Quest, is was fun to see what it was all about. Unfortunately I failed miserably in the Torch Quest. I think I need to go back to Geography class.
I just wanted to highlight a couple of issues that I was confused about, and if anyone would like to respond please do.
I loved this! However, I wondered a little about it taking place in Battleisle. Is this the usual setting for the Quest? I think it might have been more fun in Avalon proper, for tactical and familiarity purposes.
Is it usual to lose or gain levels in this Quest? It hardly seemed fair that Lukien lost so many levels and rank, whilst I gained just because I happened to be following Malak a lot...
I think that perhaps there needed to be a declaration as to when the Quest started, as folks were dancing rits in the enemy base, before the flags had even come into play and others were still in the clouds waiting for the Quest to begin.
This was really well organised, so many thanks to Lord Proteus for that. I just wondered about how PW status works with this. It seems a little odd that PWs can just run to the end, whilst the rest of us were vulnerable to attack. Should it be non-combative when PWs are taking part?
As I said, this is just my trying to get to grips with how the Quests function so that I am clear for next time. I am already looking forward to it!
