For a very long time gold coins have weighed nothing - allowing folks to
indulge the rather unrealistic luxury of having sacks stuffed full
of hundreds of thousands of gold pieces... without any encumbering
effect at all. This is no longer the case. Gold now weighs something,
albeit fairly light: one hundred gold pieces equals one pound.
