Dunccan claimed that his actions were in accordance with the desires of Olympus. I've not seen any divine decree that supports this, only evidence to the contrary. I hardly think it is Dunccan's place to bandy about disfavours in the name of policy. Divine protection is an issue for the divine, and, unless Genesis has sent Dunccan a personal memo, he cannot state unequivocally that he is acting to enforce what the Creator has decreed.
