An idea with a capital I eh? Must be good then.

Your idea just means that shops are totally insecure and easy to break into. I think I've made my thoughts on common thieves clear from time to time. By your own actions you've made it clear you're just a common thief so I can understand why you would champion such a lofty Idea.

If a setup macro takes seconds then it's irrelevant whether it's done in a stockroom or not. What I hear is a whine that a change has been suggested that doesn't give you an advantage?

Let's be clear on the purpose of the change and make sure that efforts are made to address the problem at hand. The purpose isn't to have people essencing in public. It MAY be to stop people spending so much time in stockroom, but a simple timeout same as protected areas solves that.

But let's take an example from my recent experience where a team of 4 thaks are felling staves in my city. Most have bodyguards. I'm dp. I run out of stockroom, undance dp, evoke peace in all four locations, dodge their bodyguards and make it back to stockroom. I still had to endure attacks in the stockroom from demons while everyone waited above the stockroom. That is a skill which should be removed immediately for sure.

So is my use of a stockroom an abuse? Am I supposed to just take on the team of enemies and accept I'll get fucked stupid by a team of upset fellers and their bodyguards? Or am I supposed to just keep dp and sit idly by? Or maybe just shrug my shoulders, say what the hell, impossible odds and qq and come back another day?

The suggestion to be implemented has been proposed by Lord Apollo and Lord Nostradamus. Clearly there is no city bias in the idea behind this. Before we weak minded mortals jump to our own conclusions, I would welcome the wisdom of the divine to clarify the core problems the changes are to address.
