All of you keen to brush up on the intricacies of warfare should be
fully familiar with HELP ALGORITHMS. Experiment with it, work through
scenarios... and note a loophole removed this afternoon.
The algorithm is: If ATTACK<50 and ATTACK<DEFEND then no damage.
ELSE the defender loses troops according to the algorithms listed.
This was previously working by checking if the attacking legion had
more than fifty troops and, if so, doing damage accordingly without
checking if the ATTACK figure was greater than DEFENCE. This has been
changed. You will now find that not only do attacks fail if the
ATTACK value is under fifty, but the ease of small-raiding without
tactical placement will be much inhibited.
I urge experimentation and firsthand field exercises to acquaint
yourselves with the subtleties of these changes.
