I don't think there has ever been a problem with people regarding their

OWN lives as cheap. I do not presume to understand nor dictate animist policy,

but I would assume that your efforts would be better spent by bringing

your resources to bear against those who kill rather than those who die.

You seem to harbour the strange notion--even stating as much in your post--that

dieing is somehow a choice. It is a creative idea, but it is neither true, nor useful

as a blind assertion. For the life you propose--a life without the risk of death is not

really life. The gods' gift of multiple lives has allowed us to avoid this false

life that you seem to want for avalon. It is a good thing that wiser

heads than yours order and nurture this world, or the land would soon

be a bog of mediocrity and tedium.
