Lord Orthwein, I humbly apologize to you for being rude to you on several occasions. I understand that I had no right to speak to you that way and in front of others. I deserved the punishment you meted out to me.
I hope that the folly of my ways serves as an example to all who may be tempted to follow my errant ways. As many have said before, the gods exist in spite of us mortals. I had forgotten that.
Again, I am sorry for my disrespect. I do understand that the gods demand respect and they should be given respect. I do not expect your mercy. I doubt I deserve it.
