To my utter astonishment, people are complaining about the way the Thakrians are fighting as if the gods have given them some advantage they haven't given the rest of the cities.
With the exception of the sorcerers, no Thakrian has a skill that a member of another city does not. A great number of the complaints are about non-sorcerers in any case. In fact, many non-thakrians have skills that Thakrians do not--the bards, paladi
ns and prophets all exist outside that city.
All Avalonians are therefore responsible for their own willingness to develop their skills to a certain level of expertise and have the free will to employ them to whatever end they please be it greed or charity.
Despite the existence of pacifism, divine protection, and the option of just plain running, mortals are crying out to the gods to further protect them. (Indeed, I think it is the wide spread use of pacifism which narrows the scope of victims that caus
es such outcry--there are so very few potential victims, they get hit hard and often.)
Therefore, in light of these general views which I hold (some of which I believe some of the other gods share) and recognizing that you all do not share my divine insight and intelligence, I am sponsoring a discussion/debate on the subject.
The discussion will be in my Mercinae temple this Sunday at 5 pm GMT (noon Eastern) for all who may be interested.
