Within minutes of my last post, that friendly and honourable Cavalier
Sir Arthor brought to my attention a means of replicating the problem.
After ten or fifteen minutes of testing with myself we managed to pin down
an exact set of circumstances which enabled him to lose his eagle inside
a pouch. This bug has now been fixed and will go a long way ( I hope ) to
solving the disappearing steed problem, though not entirely, I am sure.
When I asked Arthor why he preferred to transport commodities on hios eagle
rather than a cart (and thus increase the chances of his steed disappearing)
he told me that one reason was it ook much longer to load a cart than it did
a steed, when transporting a 1000 fish, say, this was a significant amount of
time involved. As a result of this conversation the rate of loading and unloading
carts has been doubled. I hope this will encourage you all to use carts more and
steeds and packs less.
During harvest many people with divine protection use sacks and packs to store
commodities for transport. This is also risky as I am sure many of you have found
that sometimes in such situations whole batches of commoditios can on occasion disappear.
This problem is still being worked upon, however, I would like to take this opportunity
to point out that thieves do have a skill that allows the slashing open of packs
even on divinely protected persons. The gods deem this as fair play so be warned.
If anyone else has circumatnces they believe they can repeat/re-create concerning
the disappearance of steeds and/or commodities then please get in touch with me. The
information so far gained has been invaluable. Thank you.
