Further to my last post, it has come to my attention that in Threap's show of complete mastery of those who are smaller than him, he jumped Mage Nathan in a field whilst Nathan was ploughing. It was springtime, Nathan is our Minister of Trade and was
in a field. Most anyone can put those factors together and figure it out.
You will also recall that you and I have had this discussion with regard to Threap in the passt as attacked one of our planters back in the second year of the treaty. His excuse was he didn't know about it. I know I explained it to him then, and, as
I understand it, so did you.
We came to an amenable arrangement the last time Threap broke the Treaty. I hope we can do so again. On behalf of Mercinae, I am requesting that a suitable reparation be made. I look forward to discussing the exact terms of same with you.
It is shameful that Threap's selfishness puts at risk the City that people like you, Alecto, Yairi and, yes, even Plaman are working so hard to build. Even Arthor has shown the good sense to abide by the terms of the treaty which are not particularly
onerous. Leave the folks in the fields alone, how hard can it be?
I look forward to speaking with you shortly.
