If you are genuinely new to Avalon, and even more importantly if you are new to the concept of a Roleplaying World, you should think seriously about allowing yourself time to take a tour of Avalon. People around you will happily show you around if you ask then - type WISH FOR HELP or SHOUT HELP to attract some attention.
