29.17 Those events a citizen can bias a globe towards.

A word before you read this text: the divine globes have their focus turned
overwhelmingly to those of post-academy status - citizens who have graduated
and entered either scholastic or guild life; the proven rather than ephemeral
member of his or her society. Graduates only may call upon the city's divine
globe to witness or act on their behalf.

An individual may determine one full swathe of the six daily timeperiods
(morning, mid-day, mid-afternoon, evening, dusk, middle of the night)
each Avalon day to be of heightened importance in the divine globe's
recollection of events pertaining to that citizen. To begin this period,
type GLOBE WITNESS. The divine globe will then monitor more closely
every act and event relating to the witnessed person. This monitoring
will result in each positive action having hundredfold worth, and each
negative event hundredfold harm, to the normal state of assessment
eternally recorded within its mystical repository. NOTE: TO GET the most
out of your globe, have it begin witnessing at the very start of a time
period tick-over, so you get close to a full two timeperiods of effect.

What actions are of most value to the globe? Combats within city walls,
offerings of slain enemies, deaths and resurrections, levels attained or
lost, abilities acquired and used for the first time, positions gained
or lost, changes in one's wealth or the city's wealth, potency (measured
dozens of different ways to encompass the combatative, pacifist,
explorer or trader approach) and reputation within the land. It would be
impossible to define precisely how the globe will bear witness to all of
these disparate occurrences, but suffice it to say that a citizen's
heroism or growth increases its worth to your city and one's failures
the opposite.

You will know when your deeds have pushed your city's globe past
significant thresholds just as you will know when your presence has been
the cause of it falling past significant, defined levels of potency. As
has been stated, your impact on its amalgamated contents will be of
minimal significance unless you deliberately call upon the globe to
WITNESS you for a time but nonetheless EVERY pertinent occurrence WILL
be taken into account. You merely determine bouts of concentrated effort
on your own part to bias the results. The sum total of a city's
coordinated endeavour over a decade is the key to accumulating a
powerful and potent altarpiece globe capable of rendering aid to your
fellow citizens.
