26.32 List of the apprentice badges and requirements.

The following badges constitute the full repertoire of the independent apprentice:

"debonair"
The apprentice is able to purchase, wear and successfully arrange a full outfit of clothing to create a unique persona.

"armed"
Apprentice demonstrates proficiency in the acquisition, wielding and care of appropriate weapons and armour.

"communicator"
The apprentice is able to use says, tells, messages and understands the distinction. Also successfully posted a first bulletin board message on a board that is NOT the public BB and written/posted a letter.

"fauna"
The apprentice has either a pet or a steed and understands how to manipulate this new animal in all appropriate ways.

"flora"
The youngster has acquired the skill of herb pouches and also a herb pouch, into which a smattering of herbs and/or poisons have been placed.

"olympus"
The apprentice has received information on the deities of Avalon, their role in the land and their role as a patron. The youngster must be well versed in the history of the Gods, both those existing in the pantheon, and the original deities of the land. They must also understand gem quests and the route to Ordination.

"citizen"
The apprentice understands the political structure of his/her home city, the ministries, baronies and has been introduced to at least one member of high government.

"historian"
The apprentice has been well versed in the history of his/her city and guild. He or she has shown a memory for important figures and facts over a period of days.

"goldquestor"
The apprentice has shown the ability within the space of a few Avalon days to make two hundred and fifty gold coins by performing gold quests, trading, or intelligent use of skills.

"statesman"
The apprentice has been introduced to the notions of farming, labours and commodities and their importance to a city. A commodity of some sort has been successfully traded.

"geographer"
Within home city walls the apprentice has shown sufficient speed navigating around the streets and important landmarks of the city.

"skillful"
Each of the general skills has been understood and a new ability has been gained in each, bar Constitution, Defence and Swordplay. New ability has been successfully applied.

"resurrection"
For the sake of true exploration the apprentice has taken a ride on the ship of the dead, and moreover understands resurrection by animists, olvar and potions of life.

"keymaster"
The apprentice has been entrusted with a key to the guild, fully protected, understands keeping it safe and knows the layout of the home guild. The youngster also knows that he or she can appeal to Olympus if more experienced enemies abuses naivety and breaches guild security unfairly.
