Sending out an SMS alert is done automatically by the Avalon system. You buy alert credits in batches and these last forever on your character (or until they are used up). Avalon passes on the SMS alerts services to its players using a reputable third party and this third party charges Avalon slightly different rates depending on the country destination. Thus you will need to check HELP COUNTRIES to determine the cost of an SMS alert to your home country.
